This was the first cruise that I can remember that didn’t have the “Sorry, Mickey is sailing with a full ship, no upgrades available” sign on the counters. I had no intention of upgrading as we were in 2 connecting rooms, but I was just curious to see what was available because the sailing had appeared to be sold out online. There were 3 or 4 people in front of me in line that took a while, so I probably waited about 10 minutes before it was my turn. They had no rooms for 5 available, but they did have a few other rooms available although I didn’t ask for details as I felt bad holding up the line for others who really did want to upgrade. None of our luggage had arrived yet which was not a surprise as it was still so early.

I do not like the color of the shirt (off-white) and may never wear it, but I still wanted to have it as a souvenir. I love how detailed and beautiful (and spotless!) the bathrooms are on the ship. We actually received an additional $200 OBC from DCL for the onboard booking since we had 2 rooms, but I forgot to take a picture.

3D paper crafts – I had no idea what this was either, but saw a session that featured Oswald and wanted to go. And yes, we made a 3D paper figure of Oswald, using the printed sheets provided as well as glue dots and scissors. (The hardest/most time-consuming part was cutting out the pieces.). Most of what we did is available on the family.disney.com web site – I used a Google search of “disney family 3D paper oswald” to find it after I returned home. Here I also noticed the fewer number of people onboard because there were several empty tables around us and I have never seen this on a prior cruise.
Small Ship Cruise Line Announces Expansion With New Class of Ships
According to various reports, the Panama Canal Expansion project is slated to be complete and operational by April 2016. The following infographic is a not to scale, modified depiction of the World canals created by the US Energy Information Administration with the addition of the Disney Cruise ships. I only did a few of them, and never did very well, but it was still fun. This was also a “Halloween on the High Seas” cruise with the added bonus that we were on board on the actual day of Halloween. It wasn’t specific to the Wonder, but included information on all of the main stage shows on all 4 ships. Here are some pictures of the shirt, pin and magnet that I took after we got home.

This is a regular activity on the longer repositioning cruises with our instructors, Willem deVries and Natalia Lind. We were seated at a round table for 6 pretty close to the center of the restaurant, but a bit closer to the starboard windows. She has never been to a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique before in the parks or on a ship and she was very excited!
I am a mom who loves all things Disney, but especially Disney Cruises! I enjoy sharing everything I have learned and hope that it will help others plan their own vacations. On February 25th, guests were informed the originally scheduled call in Grand Cayman would change to a day at sea. The 2,712 passenger Disney Wonder set out on the historic Panama Canal crossing from Port Canaveral to San Diego on a 14-night cruise.

I love the feeling of watching the land disappear – it is almost like watching the real world disappear and you know it won’t return until the end of the cruise. I was excited about this, not because I knew anything about Darren (I didn’t), but because it wasn’t Jimmy or Peter! During lunch we signed up for our free 50 MB of wifi (actually 100mb since we were in 2 rooms) and also set up the chat (texting) feature on our DCL apps.

The space is small but very well themed and seems like a fun place to hang out. We were delighted when our server started making us napkin hats! The other 2 chose chicken tenders but I was sitting too far away to photograph them.

My oldest is 12 so she could go to either the Edge tween club or the Oceaneers Club/Lab. Even though we were pretty sure she would not end up going to the club/lab, we got her a wristband just in case. A youth counselor also told us that because of the small number of children on this sailing, our 1o year old would be allowed to go to the Edge as well (normally reserved for year olds). Personal Navigators, and other details from the Halloween on the High Seas 14-Night Westbound Panama Canal Cruise from Miami.
We sat for a while and watched Tangled on funnel vision while we finished our ice cream and then went back to the room to see if any of our luggage had arrived. It had, so I started unpacking in the hour or so that we had until the safety drill. At this time we met our stateroom host, Greg from the Philippines. He was awesome and we really grew to love him over the next 14 days. If you love sea days, and we do, then this is a great itinerary.
Next we decided that we needed to eat our first ice cream cones of the trip. We were on deck 9 aft near the spa, which is where the Quiet Cove adult pool is. In order to get to the ice cream, we would have to walk through the adult area with the kids. I didn’t think we should and started to go down to deck 8 to get to the midship stairs, but one of the spa ladies assured us that we could walk through with the girls as long as we didn’t stop.
Here you can experience the famous South Beach and try the unique dining options in the city. If you have any navigators you would be willing to share, please send me an email. If you would rather upload the files you can use our upload form.
I admit I am not really a spa person (there are just so many other things I would prefer to spend money on) but my husband really wanted to see it. I knew the girls would be super bored (they were) but I was a good sport and went along. I was worried about the spa ladies playing the “hard sell” game but they really didn’t. I felt funny taking photos inside the spa because it was really crowded, but you can click here to see photos of the spa on the Dream. Once on the west coast and for a short time, Disney Wonder will cruise a series of itineraries from San Diego to Baja, Mexico. When the Alaska cruise season begins in very late spring, Disney Wonder will cruise north to Vancouver, Canada where the ship will homeport for the summer and complete a season of Alaska cruises.
